Industrial Recycling Operation

Goodwill’s Green Works recycles waste materials from industrial structures.

Using the commodity market, GGW breaks down scrap material and resells and distributes them for the opportunity at a second life. Some of these materials include cable wiring, transformers, or even household refrigerators!

The Green Works facility uses ‘clean room’ processing to help break down and process environmentally sensitive materials. They offer low-cost solutions for labor intensive operations.

SOP training for all areas of the plant:

  • Safety and Plant Orientation training for new hires

  • Hi-Lo training

  • Bob Cat training

  • Clean Room training

  • Extraction training

  • Adhering/Enforcing Company policies

  • Cultural Competencies/Diversity and Inclusion training

  • Time Management

Carpentry Sustainability Program

By reclaiming valuable wood pallets and wood cable spools for reuse, repurposing or recycling, opposed to landfilling,  this program supports GGW's mission through workforce development and training opportunities via entry-level carpentry skills; studying a curriculum that positions individuals to obtain pre-apprentice carpentry certification and a pathway to middle-wage jobs.
